Why can not I edit my video?

I took some video with my digital camera and the resulting file in AVI format. When I imported my video editing tools will not be able to change it. Help!

It so happens that I had the same experience. I finally realized the problem was that all AVI files are not the same.

Clearly see the video that most of the current still shoot cameras is that what is called, Motion JPEG video. This video is actually aSeries of still images together to create a painting in motion. For these AVI or MPEG files to open properly in some video editing programs, you need a third-party codec installed.

Some people at Sony Media Software Customer Support will propose …

Everything you need to create a program that is capable of this file that the file is a standard Microsoft AVI AVI codec instead of DivX or MPEG-4 codec to convert it to an MPEG-2 can be opened to findFile.

If all this has to turn his head, do not worry. Is there an easier way to solve the problem.

There are a variety of software video converter which can solve this problem for you. I tried the free trial for a half-dozen of them and my favorite was the Xilisoft Video Converter.

Xilisoft Video Converter is a fast and easy to use – so that you can use a video file to convert all video formats such as AVI to MPEG, WMVAVI, WMV and MPEG.

It also gives the Xilisoft Video Converter to convert a simple way to popular video file formats such as MP3 audio and a few others. It also supports all popular multimedia devices such as PSP, iPod, MP4 player, mobile phones, Zune, etc

I usually convert my digital camera to WMV files, and the result is high quality, ready to edit.
